My name is Jennifer Eve Slepin. I live in San Francisco, California. I’m a mother, nurse, public speaker, artist, and friend.
In November of 1967 my mother, Edna Rowland Hedges, died as a result of a subarachnoid hemorrhage arising from a ruptured berry aneurysm. She was 42. I was 9. My life was, and to this day is, impacted profoundly by this loss. The complexity of the role of our mothers (and mother figures) is integral to who we are as individuals. This project is a place for healing, compassion, gratitude, forgiveness, celebration, and growth.
